Job title: Social Worker (Family Support & Intervention) Job Category: Social Care Qualified Hours per week: 37 Location: Conway Road, Colwyn Bay, Conwy County Borough, LL297AZ, Conwy County Borough Council Pay: £30.50 per hour Job description We have an opportunity that has become available for a temporary experienced Social Worker to work alongside the MASH team in our Children, Families and Safeguarding Service. The postholder will work collaboratively with partner agencies to safeguard vulnerable adults, carers and families, promoting resilience, independence and strengths based outcomes. The role focuses on ensuring that adults, families and carers are supported appropriately and that safeguarding processes are applied consistently in line with statutory requirements. As part of the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) Team, to assist the Section Managers and Team Managers in managing the Adult Safeguarding Process for County Borough of Conwy, providing services to Adults and Families in need of Protection in the local community. Manage the reception of referrals, make timely decisions within statutory time limits and consult with Section Manager, colleagues within the MASH Team, Senior Safeguarding Social Worker or other managers on Adult Protection cases and other cases/matters of significant concern. Skills and qualifications required: Social Work Qualified, minimum 3 years post qualified plus technology & software skills Registered with Social Care Wales. Knowledge of All Wales safeguarding Procedures, legislation protocol and other guidance. Team work & interpersonal skills The assignment is for 37 HPW, Monday – Friday. There is an expectation that candidate lives locally or with in a commutable distance as the position is located in Conwy County. The worker will work from the office – Coed Pella, Colwyn Bay, Conwy. The assignment is expected to last approximately 12 weeks with potential to be extended.
