Job Title: Commercial Finance Analyst
Location: St Paul’s, London (Hybrid – 3 days in office)
Pay Rate: £25–£30 per hour
Working Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm)
Contract: Minimum 6 months (with potential for extension)
Start Date: Early June
Role Overview
We are seeking a commercially focused Finance Analyst to join a small, collaborative finance team of four. This is a highly visible role with strong stakeholder engagement, working closely with the commercial team to drive business performance and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Performance Analysis
* Analyse revenue, margins, and delivery costs across programmes
* Provide insights on profitability drivers and performance trends
* Support evaluation of new business opportunities
Management Reporting
* Maintain and improve reporting on:
* Sales and revenue
* Programme performance
* Utilisation and delivery metrics
* Deliver clear, actionable commentary to stakeholders
Budgeting & Pricing
* Support development of pricing models and commercial proposals
* Ensure appropriate margin assumptions and cost recovery
* Partner with Commercial teams on deal structuring
Month-End & Financial Control
* Perform programme-level cost allocations
* Support variance analysis (Actual vs Budget/Forecast)
* Ensure data integrity across finance outputs
Continuous Improvement
* Streamline reporting and financial processes
* Improve use of tools (Excel / Power BI / ERP)
* Strengthen link between Finance and Commercial teams
Key Skills & Experience
* Strong business partnering skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
* Confident communicator with a commercial mindset
* Advanced Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables)
* Experience with Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central
* Power BI experience highly desirable
* Part-qualified accountant with relevant commercial finance experience
* Experience within a product-based business is preferred
* Languages:
* Spanish (desirable)
* Arabic (additional bonus)
