About the role
This role supports young people and children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health difficulties within Primary and Secondary schools.
We are ideally looking for Education – mental health support worker candidates with full‑time availability Monday to Friday 8:30 – 16:00.
This position is initially through Vision for Education on a daily rate, but the chance of a contract being offered after 18 weeks is highly likely for the right candidate. The desirable candidate will be prepared to complete essential training prior to starting in this setting. We are looking for candidates to begin on our supply register from September 2023.
Requirements
* Be enthusiastic and able to build rapport with students.
* Be resilient, flexible and able to think fast on your feet to adapt to challenging situations.
* Have relative experience within the last 2 years and be able to provide professional, performance‑based references within an Education setting.
* Possess relevant experience in the past few years working with children, young people or vulnerable adults.
* Undergo thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications.
