JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Tutor

Job Duties:
* Provide tailored support and guidance to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Develop individualised learning plans and resources to cater to the specific needs of each student
* Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to enhance learning outcomes
* Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
* Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students
Required Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience working with students with SEN
* Strong understanding of SEN educational practises and methodologies
Education:
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience working as a SEN Tutor or in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
* Knowledge of relevant legislation and policies related to SEN
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Additional certifications in Special Education or SEN teaching
* Experience using assistive technologies to support student learning
Working Conditions:
The role of SEN Tutor may involve working with students in various educational settings, including schools, learning centres, or individual homes. Flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate student schedules.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
