Duties
* Prepare a variety of sandwiches according to established recipes and customer preferences.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the preparation process.
* Assist in food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables, slicing meats, and assembling ingredients.
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, ensuring all tools are kept clean and in good working order.
* Engage with customers to take orders and provide recommendations, utilising upselling techniques where appropriate.
* Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
* Collaborate with team members to maintain an organised kitchen environment and support overall operations.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a restaurant or food preparation setting is preferred but not essential.
* Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions and measuring ingredients accurately.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in a kitchen environment.
* Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently under pressure.
* A passion for culinary arts with an eagerness to learn and develop new skills.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well within a team-oriented atmosphere.
