Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Play Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging, and fun environment for them to learn and play. This role involves supervising children, facilitating activities, and supporting their development in a nurturing setting.
Duties
* Supervise and engage with children during playtime and activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
* Plan and implement age-appropriate games and activities that promote physical, social, and emotional development.
* Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their participation and helping them develop social skills.
* Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming environment for children to play in.
* Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the play area or nursery.
* Assist in the management of daily routines, including meal times and transitions between activities.
Skills
* Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
* A background in early childhood education is an advantage.
* Excellent communication skills to interact clearly with children, parents, and colleagues.
