Security Officer Role – Mitie

Location: Royal Berkshire Bracknell Clinic
Job Type: Full-time
Shift Rota: 2 Day Shifts, 2 Night Shifts then 2 Days Off (12Hour Shifts)
Main Duties
* Maintain a professional presence: determined, trustworthy, attentive, and approachable
* Welcome clients and visitors warmly:
o Issue and manage ID badge's
* Operate:
o Phones
o Emails
o IT systems
o CCTV
o Alarm systems
o Access control (doors and car park)
* Monitor and respond to:
o Suspicious activity
o Potential criminal behaviour
* Maintain control of incidents until emergency services arrive
* Record, report, and escalate incidents to the Account Manager
Qualifications & Knowledge
* Knowledge of relevant security procedures
* Excellent customer service
* Strong teamwork
* Health & safety awareness
* Effective communication skills
Knowledge & Requirements
* Understanding of:
o Health and Safety at Work Act
o Criminal and Civil Law
o Police and Criminal Evidence Act
* SIA Licence - (Door Supervision or Security Guarding) – Essential
* SIA Licence - Public space surveillance (CCTV) - Essential
Person Specification
* Strong team player with a positive attitude
* Ability to work independently
* Previous security experience preferred
* Flexible approach to working hours
* Excellent customer service skills
* Willingness to go above and beyond for clients and visitors
* Strong written and verbal communication
* Ability to remain calm under pressure
