Red Bull Advanced Technologies is looking for a No2 Mechanic who will be responsible for undertaking the assembly and disassembly of Red Bull Advanced Technology cars in a professional, safe, and timely manner while working to clearly defined specifications and standards. This role involves working as part of a team supporting events as required while ensuring the highest industry standards are maintained.
Role Responsibilities
1. Work with the No1 Car Mechanic to ensure that every new chassis build is carried out safely, timely, and professionally, in accordance with procedural documents issued by the Test Team and car Design.
2. Prepare, assemble, and disassemble test cars before and after each test event to the highest standards as directed by the No. 1 Mechanic.
3. Ensure the highest standard of workmanship and immediately address any safety or reliability issues with the No. 1 Mechanic.
4. Support the Supply Chain team with turnarounds and builds as required.
5. Support lifing and quality of the car/chassis build and turnarounds by collaborating with the Parts Coordinator, Assembly Planning Controller, and Operations Group to achieve 100% reliability.
6. Maintain personal responsibility for specific tasks, completing them within agreed timeframes in a constructive and positive manner.
7. Build and service sub-assemblies (excluding Gearbox, Hydraulics, or Electronics groups) as requested by the Test Team.
8. Maintain a clean and tidy working environment, adhering to COSHH guidelines and all relevant Health and Safety requirements, whether factory or trackside.
9. Travel globally to all test locations as required.
