FM Conway is looking for a Traffic Management Operative to join our Traffic Light division based at our New Alresford depot. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working a mixture of day and night shifts. As our Traffic Management Operative, you will work as part of a team to carry out a range of services including setting up temporary traffic lights, installing, maintaining, and removing traffic management.
The duties of the Traffic Management Operative role will include:
1. Setting up temporary traffic lights as required
2. Assisting with the diversion of traffic
3. Maintaining and removing traffic lights within the required time scale
4. Managing traffic flow at temporary traffic lights, ensuring the public abides by signals
5. Working closely with management and crews, taking instructions from the management team
6. Ensuring site safety and carrying out on-site assessments
7. Taking appropriate action in emergencies, including notifying relevant personnel
8. Being on call, out of hours on a rota basis if required
What skills and experience do you need?
To be considered, you should have knowledge of traffic management operations, hold a valid CSCS card, and possess traffic management Lantra tickets. You must also be able to read and interpret CAD traffic management drawings and comply with provided RAMS.
