Salary: £91,000 - 91,000 per year Requirements: We need an Infrastructure Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in a project-based Infrastructure Engineer role. We need strong experience in end-to-end project delivery, including design, implementation, testing, go-live, and handover. We need extensive experience with office networks, firewalls, and access to business systems. We need advanced technical experience building and supporting a Microsoft-based workplace, including Windows Active Directory, Windows Servers and services, and Office 365. We need in-depth experience designing and configuring firewall policies and providing support. We need strong knowledge of networking principles, services, protocols, and hardware, including routers, switches, and access points. We need a strong understanding of IT security, current threat landscapes, and best practice. We need exposure to cloud-hosted services, particularly web services supporting e-commerce platforms. We need knowledge of connectivity solutions, IP telephony, and MDM applications. We need candidates who can commute to our South Lakes office within 90 minutes each way for hybrid working and team meetings. We need someone comfortable working inside IR35 on a contract basis. Responsibilities: We will have you work on a project integrating third-party platforms with our in-house platform. We will have you design the technical solution and cybersecurity controls for the project. We will have you document technical specifications across business systems access, firewall, desktop, voice, high availability, failover, and failback. We will have you plan, configure, and test technology changes, including smoke testing. We will have you participate in design workshops with the solution provider to ensure the solution meets our business and technical requirements. We will have you document service level agreements and service KPIs, including availability, response times, quality of service, and failover targets. We will have you plan and execute system integration testing, volume testing, failover testing, and cybersecurity testing. We will have you document test results, resolve issues, and support remediation or design changes. We will have you support user acceptance testing with our Programme Manager and users, and help resolve defects or required changes. We will have you work with our Security & Compliance Manager to review and penetration test the delivered solution. We will have you support pilot, live, and full go-live activities, taking ownership of technical issue resolution. We will have you produce support documentation and hand over to the service desk. We will have you perform knowledge transfer to infrastructure and service desk teams and support them during business-as-usual operations.
