Role Overview
We’re seeking a motivatedmGrad 1-5 Geo-Environmental Engineer to join VHE Construction, one of the UK’s leading specialists in earthworks, remediation, and enabling works.
As part of a forward-thinking team, you’ll support the investigation, assessment, and remediation of contaminated land across a range of infrastructure and brownfield regeneration projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about environmental improvement and sustainable construction, looking to develop within a well-respected contractor known for its technical excellence and collaborative culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and execute site investigations (including soil, groundwater, and gas monitoring)
Prepare and review factual and interpretative reports, risk assessments, and remediation strategies
Supervise contractors during site works, ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance
Conduct sampling, logging, and in-situ testing to assess contamination and ground conditions
Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers to deliver accurate, timely technical input
Assist in the development and implementation of remediation methodologies and verification works
Support the environmental monitoring and reporting requirements throughout the project lifecycle
What We’re Looking For
Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Geotechnical Engineering, or related discipline
Proven experience in geo-environmental investigation, remediation, or contaminated land assessment
Strong understanding of ground conditions, laboratory analysis, and environmental legislation
Competent in writing technical reports and communicating findings clearly to clients and teams
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project sites nationwide
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with attention to safety and quality
