Your new roleWe are now seeking an exceptional leader to join our senior team as Assistant Headteacher & SENCO, with strategic oversight of curriculum, teaching, learning, and inclusion. This is a pivotal leadership position for someone who is passionate about inclusive practice and determined to ensure that every pupil-regardless of their starting point-can experience success. You will shape the curriculum, drive high-quality teaching, and lead our whole-school approach to SEND and SEMH provision.Key Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership of SEND across the school, ensuring statutory compliance and best practice.
* Oversee the design, development, and implementation of a broad, ambitious, and personalised curriculum.
* Lead on teaching and learning, supporting staff to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed practice.
* Work closely with external agencies, families, and professionals to secure the best outcomes for pupils.
* Line-manage and develop staff, modelling reflective, relational, and restorative approaches.
* Use data and assessment intelligently to inform planning, intervention, and whole-school improvement.
* Contribute to the wider strategic leadership of the school as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
What you'll need to succeedWe are looking for a leader who is:
* A qualified SENCO (or working towards the NASENCO award).
* Experienced in working with children with SEMH needs or within specialist settings.
* Skilled in curriculum leadership and passionate about high-quality teaching.
* Emotionally intelligent, resilient, and committed to relational practice.
* Able to inspire, challenge, and support staff to grow professionally.
