The role
As a Legal Counsel with 2–3 years of post‑qualification experience, you will advise UK teams across the business, working consultatively with every division and contributing to team‑wide initiatives.
Key responsibilities
* Support and advise teams across sales, marketing, people, product and operations.
* Review and negotiate customer, partnership and supplier contracts, providing pragmatic, commercial support.
* Handle pre‑litigation, litigation and IP matters.
* Instruct and manage external legal counsel.
* Build and maintain self‑help tools, playbooks and guides for the legal team and wider business.
* Continuously improve high‑volume processes, such as contracting automation and management workflows.
* Be ready to address any legal issue at any time.
Desired skills
We’re looking for a lawyer trained in private practice and/or in‑house within a fast‑paced environment who is driven, independent and can apply knowledge across a wide range of legal area.
What we’re looking for
* UK qualified lawyer with 2–3 years PQE.
* Quick to grasp new legal concepts and comfortable using common sense.
* Candidly challenges current ways of working and is not afraid to ask why.
* Proactive self‑starter who rolls up sleeves to get the job done.
* First‑class communication skills, able to distill complex legalese into clear English.
* Team player who enjoys working in a fun, fast‑growing, demanding environment.
* Knowledge of FCA requirements or payment services.
* Experience selling and supporting SaaS solutions.
* Able to explain what an API is.
Compensation
Base salary ranges are based on role, level, location and market data. We pay between the minimum and mid‑point (£48,000 – £60,000) of the pay range until performance can be assessed. Offers account for experience, assessment, budgets and internal parity.
