1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Aldridge
Pay: £85–£95 per day
Contract: Temporary, ongoing
The Role:
Balfor Education is seeking a compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a supportive SEN primary school in Aldridge. You’ll work closely with a pupil aged 5–11 with learning difficulties, autism, and speech/language needs. The role includes supporting classwork, emotional regulation, and communication development, as well as assisting with classroom activities and displays.
What We’re Looking For:
1. Experience working with SEN pupils (ASD, speech/language, cognition & learning)
2. Confident supporting children 1:1 and in small groups
3. Calm, patient, and consistent approach
4. PECS or Makaton knowledge (a plus, not essential)
5. Good understanding of safeguarding
Requirements:
6. Relevant SEN/Teaching Assistant experience
7. Level 1 Safeguarding (or willingness to complete)
8. Enhanced DBS on Update Service (or willingness to apply)
9. Valid photo ID and recent references
10. Immediate availability
