Role
This post is part of the business support team and provides comprehensive secretarial and business administrative support to the Specialist Children’s Services Neurodevelopmental Waiting List Team in relation to waiting list management.
Working Pattern
Full‑time, Fixed Term – 23 months. Base location – Templeton Business Centre. Shift pattern – 9 am to 5 pm.
Key Responsibilities
* Link closely with leads of the Neurodevelopmental Waiting List Team to ensure waiting lists are managed effectively to meet targets and complete business support processes in a timely and efficient manner, including communication with clinical staff, managers, parents and children & young people who are waiting.
* Work independently for much of the time, demonstrating a clear understanding of the service, the waiting lists and targets, and liaising regularly with clinical team managers to support smooth waiting list management.
* Support the Clinical Leads with day‑to‑day admin tasks for their line management duties.
* Work in office alongside the clinical leadership team.
Qualifications and Experience
* Competency in the use of a range of computer packages, evidenced by experience or formal qualification such as ECDL, and a recognised qualification in administration equivalent to HNC in Secretarial Studies or Business Administration, or SVQ in Administration at Level 3, or significant relevant equivalent practical experience in data analysis.
* Good knowledge of office procedures and systems, and prior experience working in a secretarial or administrative role.
