Progress Teachers are working very closely with a local mainstream secondary school to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic PE Teacher.
The successful candidate will teach across KS3 & KS4, inspiring all pupils to lead active and healthy lifestyles, as well as develop a love for sport and physical education.
Responsibilities of the role:
* Curriculum Development: Design and implement engaging and innovative PE lessons, fostering a love for physical activity among students.
* Skill Enhancement: Develop students' physical abilities, coordination, and teamwork through a variety of sports and activities, ensuring inclusive participation for all.
* Assessment and Feedback: Conduct regular assessments to evaluate students' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
* Health and Fitness Promotion: Educate students on the importance of a healthy and active lifestyle, promoting overall well-being through physical fitness.
Qualifications:
* Teaching Qualifications: Holding a relevant teaching qualification with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) in highly advantageous, but experienced unqualified teachers of PE will also be considered for the role.
* Subject Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of the National Curriculum / GCSE specifications for PE, being able to translate this knowledge effectively into coherent and well-structured lessons.
* Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with students, colleagues, and parents.
* An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service OR willingness to obtain.
