We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. Duties
* Design and develop automation systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and requirements.
* Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve issues within automated systems.
* Utilise CAD software to create detailed schematics and models for automation projects.
* Implement logic controllers for effective system operation and control.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions into existing processes.
* Use Simulink for system modelling and simulation to optimise performance.
* Maintain documentation of all designs, processes, and modifications for future reference.
* Conduct tests on automated systems using LabView and MATLAB to ensure functionality and reliability.
* Provide support in the development of prototypes using SolidWorks.
Requirements
* Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
* Experience with logic controllers and their applications in automation systems.
* Familiarity with Simulink for modelling complex systems is desirable.
* Proficient in LabView and MATLAB for testing and analysis purposes.
* Experience with SolidWorks for design purposes is advantageous.
* Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
