Interim Internal Audit Manager (Conduct & Operational Audits) Location: Yorkshire (Hybrid – 1–2 days in the office per week based on audit requirements) Contract Type: Interim (Maternity Cover) Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 Sector: Financial Services Our Yorkshire-based client is currently seeking an experienced Interim Internal Audit Manager to join their team, providing maternity cover within the internal audit function. This is a critical role focused on delivering conduct and operational audits across the business. Key Responsibilities: Lead and deliver end-to-end audits, from planning through to fieldwork and reporting. Evaluate key customer-facing and operational processes and controls. Ensure audits are aligned with relevant FCA regulatory frameworks, including CONC, DISP, SYSC, and the Consumer Duty requirements. Provide clear, concise reporting and recommendations to senior management. Influence and engage with key stakeholders across the business to drive improvements in governance, risk management, and controls. About You: Professionally qualified (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent). Proven experience in conduct and operational audits, ideally within financial services or a regulated environment. Strong knowledge of relevant FCA regulations and an appreciation of conduct risk. Confident communicator with the ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders. Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a hybrid working environment.
