We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Site Engineer to join a high-profile highways and surfacing project based in Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a solid background in civil engineering, specifically in surveying and highways works.
Key Responsibilities:
·Oversee the technical aspects of highways and surfacing works on-site.
·Carry out surveying duties and ensure all measurements are accurate and compliant with project specifications.
·Monitor and manage construction activities to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
·Liaise with subcontractors, site managers, and the client to ensure smooth project progression.
·Provide technical support and guidance to the site team.
·Assist in the preparation of method statements, risk assessments, and site reports.
·Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Requirements:
·Proven experience as a Site Engineer on highways and surfacing projects.
·Strong surveying experience with proficiency in setting out and site measurement.
·Ability to work independently and effectively manage time on-site.
·Knowledge of construction techniques, methodologies, and regulations.
·Excellent communication skills and ability to liaise with both site and office teams.
·Hold a valid CSCS card (preferably).
·Freelance (CIS or LTD) payment options available.
