Estimator – Construction
Location: Nr Maidstone, Kent (Office-Based)
Hours: Monday–Thursday (07:30 – 17:00), Friday (07:30 – 16:00)
Salary: £50,000 – £65,000 + Car Allowance & Excellent Benefits

The Role – Estimator
As an Estimator, you’ll play a key role in the pre-construction phase, helping to secure future projects by preparing detailed tenders and budgets. Working under regular supervision, you’ll handle all aspects of tenders, liaise with subcontractors, and support the wider team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare tenders and project budgets
* Support the Pre-Construction Director
* Review tender documents and project requirements
* Undertake manual and digital take-offs from drawings
* Produce Bills of Quantities
* Issue enquiries and collate subcontractor quotations
* Evaluate returned quotes and prepare comparisons
* Prepare and submit tender documentation
* Manage post-tender queries through to contract signing
* Conduct handover meetings with the construction team
* Maintain an up-to-date subcontractor database
* Attend site visits as required
* General administration and filing duties
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards
What We’re Looking For:
* Previous experience in an Estimator role (construction industry preferred)
* Strong ability to interpret written information and drawings
* Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
* Organised and able to manage time effectively
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable
* Professional, approachable, and team-oriented
* Full UK Driving Licence
