Job summary St Teresas Hospice, Darlington is seeking Health Care Assistants to join our Hospice at Home team. We have multiple vacancies for applicants looking to work between 2 and 4 x 7.5 hour shifts per week on a 7 day rota; usual working pattern 7.5 hour early or late shifts on a rota basis, 06:45-14:15, and 14:00-21:30. In this post, you will work as a member of the nursing and multi-disciplinary team delivering care and giving support to patients with palliative care needs and their families, within patients own homes and in the Hospice. Our HCAs work in close collaboration with the District Nurses, GPs, Marie Curie nurses, Macmillan nurses, the Foundation Trust & other hospice services ensuring patient choice at the end of life. Essential qualifications and skills include: NVQ/QCF Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification or experience or prepared to take relevant NVQ if not achieved.
