Im currently working in close partnership with a specialist SEN school in North London, as they look to appoint a new Headteacher.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dedicated and well-resourced school that caters for pupils aged 5 to 16, primarily with autism spectrum conditions and complex additional needs. The Role
The school is seeking a strategic, compassionate, and experienced leader to take on the Headteacher role and guide the school into its next chapter. Key responsibilities will include:
* Providing clear leadership, vision, and direction for pupils and staff
* Ensuring high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning for a diverse cohort
* Leading safeguarding and SEND provision across the school
* Working closely with the Governing Body, families, and external agencies
* Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, reflection, and staff development
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
* Has Headteacher experience within a SEN or specialist school setting
* Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of autism, sensory needs, and behaviour support
* Leads with emotional intelligence, high expectations, and clear communication
* Is committed to empowering pupils, staff, and families through inclusive, aspirational leadership
