Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to individuals in a care home setting or through home care services. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients. A valid driving licence is preferred for this position.
Responsibilities
* Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation.
* Support clients in following their individual care plans, ensuring that their needs and preferences are met.
* Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
* Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
* Ensure that the living environment is safe, clean, and conducive to the well-being of clients.
* Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes effectively.
* Collaborate with other healthcare staff to deliver comprehensive care.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not essential.
* Strong communication skills in English are required for effective interaction with clients and team members.
* Ability to drive is preferred to facilitate travel between client homes or care facilities.
* Basic IT skills for documentation and record-keeping are necessary.
* A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others is essential for success in this role.
