A Little More About Your Role …
Are you ready for the next step in your career? Are you eager to develop and help deliver and grow our portfolio of high-profile projects solving groundwater challenges in the water resources, environmental and infrastructure sectors? We are seeking to appoint several talented, enthusiastic and committed early-career hydrogeologists and groundwater modellers to support projects within our Catchment Science team in the Sustainable Water Management Consulting group. Your work will be varied and challenging, likely including:
* Contributing to projects covering all aspects of water resources hydrogeology, with a focus on regional groundwater modelling.
* Collaborating with other sectors/disciplines to deliver hydrogeological aspects of diverse projects.
* Learning and applying coding skills, especially Python, to environmental problems.
* Building understanding of hydrogeology, groundwater modelling, and UK water and environmental sectors.
* Producing high-quality client- and public-facing deliverables, with excellent communication and data visualization skills.
* Promoting a 'safety first' attitude aligned with WSP's health and safety policies.
We seek motivated, flexible self-starters capable of independent and team work, with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. Although primarily UK-based, collaboration across WSP’s global teams is expected.
Your Team
Our Catchment Science team provides services in water resources, hydrology, water quality, hydroecology, and hydrogeology, serving clients including government, water industry, and industrial sectors. We are experiencing growth and seek additional technical expertise to meet increasing demand.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
* Knowledge of hydrogeology, groundwater modelling, and environmental water issues.
* Numerical and coding skills, especially Python.
* Interpersonal skills and client engagement potential.
* Interest in UK hydrogeology and water management regulations.
* Enthusiasm for professional development, including potential progression to chartership.
Qualifications
* MSc Hydrogeology and a BSc in geology, geotechnical engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, or related field.
