Star Refrigeration is looking for engineers from various disciplines, including Mechanical Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Marine Engineers, RAF Technicians, Refrigeration and A/C Engineers, to train in Industrial Refrigeration as part of our fast-track training programme across our UK branch network. We specialise in Industrial Refrigeration and offer guided learning via one-to-one tuition from industry experts, accredited courses and continual on-the-job training. Within 9-12 months, you can progress to a full Industrial Refrigeration Engineer. You will work as part of a growing engineering team, supporting some of the country’s biggest refrigeration customers, maintaining a reputation for high quality. After completion of the training programme you will continue to develop through our dedicated Industrial Refrigeration Engineering Skills & Training Programme, with a well-defined skills growth pathway, ongoing training, learning opportunities and clear skill-level linked pay rises. You will receive full support from the senior engineering management team at your branch and a National Operations Training Team to help you reach each skill level.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high quality installation, service and maintenance work on customer sites to company engineering standards.
* Maintain compliance with health and safety procedures and legislative compliance in all tasks undertaken.
* Develop positive customer relationships, providing effective communication, information and guidance on site.
* Identify opportunities to improve site safety, plant reliability and operating efficiency.
* Work collaboratively as part of the branch team to share knowledge and deliver effectively for the customer base.
* Take a proactive approach to continued professional development, including expanding knowledge of system components and technologies.
Qualifications
* Essential: Mechanical or electrical engineering experience.
* Essential: Fault-finding and troubleshooting ability.
* Beneficial: Basic refrigeration knowledge.
