We provide an accommodation and support hub in central Reading for people experiencing homelessness. We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Assistant Support Worker to help deliver a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice, independence and empowerment.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be working as part of a team and report directly to your line Manager. You will Assist in the delivering a range of in-house support provisions, designed to achieve positive outcomes for residents, enabling them to make meaningful life changes and move towards independence.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
1. A good understanding of the benefits system,
2. Safeguarding principles
3. Health & safety practices
4. Ability to be in sympathy with the needs of the homeless and The Mission of The Salvation Army
