Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic pharmacist to join our friendly and supportive Medicines Information (MI) team within the Pharmacy Department at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate and supervise the day‑to‑day provision of a high quality Medicines Information service to healthcare professionals within the Trust.
* Support the long‑term planning, organisation and delivery of the service.
* Deliver direct patient care at ward level and act as a clinical role model for other staff.
* Analyse and interpret highly complex information from a variety of sources to provide expert evaluated medicines information and advice in response to enquiries from pharmacy, medical and nursing staff, allied healthcare professionals and the public.
* Coordinate the planning and organisation of the day‑to‑day activity of the Medicines Information Service.
* Support the provision of a clinical pharmacy service ensuring high quality, safe, effective, legally compliant and accurate use of medicines.
* Base at the Broomfield Hospital site.
Qualifications
* Previous experience working in an acute NHS hospital ward environment.
* Excellent communication and negotiating skills, with experience interacting closely with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
