SSQ is partnering exclusively with the credit business of a top global alternative asset manager, looking to hire into their highly collaborative transatlantic legal and compliance team.
The ideal applicant will have around 3 years’ PQE gained in an international law firm, in either leveraged finance and / or restructuring and be familiar with cross-border deals for private equity funds and / or financial sponsors.
This is an opportunity for a lawyer motivated to be in-house at the top of the Private Credit market, but pivoting away from a purely transactional practice.
Key responsibilities:
* Structuring, negotiating, and facilitating new investments in the UK, EU and EMEA.
* Working with the capital formation team on asset backed financing and liquidity facilities for funds.
* Ad hoc corporate projects - including private and public transactions, investor relations issues and new business initiatives.
* Coordinating with the compliance team on transaction and investment fund related compliance matters, including the Adviser’s Act and Investment Company Act issues, AIFMD, UK and EU regulations, trade clearance and regulatory filings etc.
