We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Front of House Team Member.
The newly renovated seafood restaurant on the royal parade. Curating simple but tasty dishes and now including meat dishes. You will be working alongside chefs from The Ivy, The Wright Brothers and J sheeky's. We strive to create and wonderful dining experience with a knowledge driven team.
As a member of our front of house staff, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring their dining experience is enjoyable and memorable.
You will need to be available to work weekends as this is when we are busiest, weekday shifts can be flexible. Pay is minimum wage but you will also receive tronc (service charge and cash tips).
We are a small dedicated team willing to give training in sectors to move around and move up in the company.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Provide recommendations on menu items and upsell specials
- Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly
- Ensure tables are clean and properly set up for the next guests
- Assist with food preparation and plating, as needed
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the front-of-house area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations
Requirements:
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and procedures
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is preferred
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
* Able to keep up with the new menu and drink changes
* Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members
* Culinary knowledge is a plus, but not mandatory
