Are you an experienced Engineering professional with a passion for leadership and continuous improvement? A leading aerospace manufacturer is seeking an Assembly Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader to join their high-performing team in Burnley. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a globally recognised organisation, supporting cutting-edge aerospace programmes.
The Role
You'll lead a team of Manufacturing Engineers supporting major programmes including A330neo, HTF, Trent, and F7X. This hands-on leadership role involves:
1. Managing and developing a team of engineers, overseeing deployment, skills development and performance management.
2. Supporting HR policy deployment and attendance management.
3. Driving engineering improvements related to product delivery, quality, and operational efficiency.
4. Collaborating closely with programme teams to define resource budgets and improvement initiatives.
5. Championing innovation and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and engagement.
6. Ensuring all activity aligns with health, safety and environmental (HSE) requirements.
What We're Looking For
7. A bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline (or equivalent experience).
8. Strong background in Manufacturing Engineering, ideally within aerospace or a similar high-precision sector.
9. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience leading teams and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
10. Sound knowledge of engineering economics and how it influences operational performance.
11. Solid project/programme management skills.
Desirable:
12. A formal leadership qualification.
13. Prior experience within aerospace manufacturing engineering.
