Purchase Ledger Clerk - Fixed-term Contract
A business near Scarborough is recruiting a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a fixed-term contract until December 2025. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join an established Finance Team with a great culture and benefits, including a salary up to £29,000 (dependent on experience), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, modern offices, and hybrid working (2 days from home, 3 days in the office).
While this is not a traditional temp-to-perm role, there may be opportunities for permanent employment in the future.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting accounts payable processing and wider finance duties
* Processing invoices and credit notes, assisting with payment runs
* Daily processing of supplier invoices and payments
* Dealing with supplier queries and correspondence
* Ledger reconciliation and reporting
* Collaborating with the team to meet departmental objectives
* Performing ad hoc duties as directed by the Financial Controller
Candidate Requirements
* Experience with accountancy software such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero, and MS Excel
* Experience in AP processing, management accounts, fixed assets, and VAT
* Experience working in a finance team implementing new software/processes (advantageous but not essential)
* Studying or AAT qualified, or equivalent experience
This role is ideal for someone with some relevant experience or studying towards AAT.
