Progress Chaser Location: Derby Salary: £25,000 £27,000 (depending on experience) Working Hours: MondayThursday: 7am4pm or 8am5pm Friday: 7am12pm or 8am1pm About the Role We are seeking a proactive, organised, and driven Progress Chaser to support the smooth and efficient flow of production activities on-site. Youll play a key role in tracking work-in-progress, resolving delays, and keeping communication flowing between departments. This role offers excellent growth potential for someone looking to step into a future leadership or supervisory position within a busy engineering or manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Monitor the flow of parts and jobs through the production processfrom order through to delivery Liaise closely with production, purchasing, stores, and quality to identify and resolve bottlenecks Ensure required materials, components, and tools are ordered and available on time Escalate any issues or delays that may impact production schedules Track and report on work-in-progress and job status Maintain accurate records and documentation of job flow and material needs Contribute to continuous improvement by suggesting process or communication enhancements Support production planning and ensure teams stay aligned on priorities Experience & Skills: Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment (required) Understanding of production processes and workflow Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems (desirable) Awareness of basic purchasing or stock control procedures Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting Personal Qualities: Highly organised with excellent time management Strong communication and interpersonal skills Proactive, with a solution-focused mindset Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities Willingness to learn and grow into a leadership role Strong attention to detail If you like the look of this Progress Chaser role, click apply or contact Jamie Garcia-Courtice at Orion Electrotech Aylesbury for more information: Thank you for your application.
