Specialist Doctor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health and Neurodevelopmental

Salary: Specialist Grade £100,870 - £111,441 pro rata per annum
NHS Orkney is seeking a Specialist Doctor with a special interest in neurodevelopmental conditions to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a remote and rural setting, providing essential psychiatric care to children and young people while contributing to the development of mental health services across the islands.
CAMHS services in Orkney has undergone transformational change in recent years. The current multi-disciplinary team consists of Consultant Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologist, CAMHS CPNs, CAMHS Practitioners, CAMHS Psychological Therapist, Clinical Associate in Applied Psychology, Support Worker and CAMHS administrative team. We maintain strong links with both the Tier 4 network and the North of Scotland regional network, ensuring joined-up care and collaborative practice across the region. In-patient service provision will be delivered by Young Persons Unit, Dundee and National Children’s in-patient unit in Glasgow. You would be an integral member of the specialist CAMHS services providing excellent patient-centred care for children with mental health problems and families in our community.
