As a Label Licensing Officer, you will be part of the multilingual Marine Stewardship Council International (MSCI) Licensing team who process and approve requests for use of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) labels. You will work closely with commercial staff in our regional offices on licensing and commercial issues and build relationships with customers. In this varied role, you will ensure all relevant information is accurately entered into the database and be responsible for checking artwork as well as ensuring compliance and specific branding requirements are adhered to. Liaising with our customers, you will oversee the accounts and be comfortable negotiating changes that need to be made, and meeting set deadlines.
Responsibilities
* Process and approve requests for use of MSC and ASC labels as part of the Licensing team.
* Enter relevant information into the database accurately and check artwork for compliance with branding requirements.
* Oversee accounts, liaise with customers, negotiate changes, and meet deadlines.
* Manage contractual aspects and support the collection of royalties from partner organisations globally.
* Ensure financial reports received from license holders are consistent and accurately recorded on the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics).
* Communicate complex guidelines clearly to internal and external audiences; escalate queries as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong administrative experience and excellent attention to detail.
* Strong client relationship management skills and confidence processing legal contracts.
* Ability to communicate complex guidelines clearly and simply to internal and external audiences.
* Well-developed judgement to manage individual scenarios and know when to escalate.
* Fluency in English and Spanish; additional languages are an advantage.
Working at MSC & How to Apply
The MSC is committed to flexible working. The successful candidate will need to work from the London office for a minimum of 50% of their working time each month; the remaining time can be worked from home. During onboarding, hybrid work may require more in-office work than remote work.
