*Job Description:*
Match Foster Care, an agency rated *Outstanding* by Ofsted, is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Supervising Social Worker to join our team. Currently supporting 83 fostering households and approximately 150 children, we pride ourselves on maintaining *caseloads capped at 15 children*, allowing our social workers the time to build strong relationships with both children and foster parents. We are actively seeking a highly motivated Social Worker to join our multi-disciplinary team.
*Key Responsibilities:*
· Support foster parents in providing a safe, nurturing, and stable home environment for young people in care.
· Work closely with foster families, offering guidance, support, and training to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge for optimal care.
· Complete fostering assessments of prospective applicants and assess their suitability to foster children and young people.
· Play a lead role in organising and participating in activity days and projects involving children and young people.
· Work with our care leavers in supporting them in independence
*Requirements:*
· Social Work qualification/Degree
· Professional registration with Social Work England
· Working knowledge of relevant legislation and child safeguarding procedures
· Full driving licence
· Experience within the fostering field is desirable but not essential
Supervising Social Workers also have the opportunity to work from home one day per week.
