Fire & Security Systems Service Engineer
Global Fire and Security Systems – Field Based in Newcastle and North East – Full Time with salary up to £55,000 plus door‑to‑door, overtime, on‑call and call‑out.

Our expertise spans design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire safety, fire suppression and security systems.
To support ongoing growth, we are seeking a Fire System Service Engineer – Electrical to be field based covering Newcastle and North East and surrounding areas.
Job Purpose
* Undertake all electrical works within the area efficiently and safely, carrying out repairs as appropriate.
* Ensure all planned maintenance is carried out on schedule.
Key Accountabilities
* Maintain equipment and services in safe condition in compliance with Health & Safety.
* Monitor preventive maintenance procedures and record inspection reports.
* Keep logs of inspection reports and remedial work.
* Maintain knowledge of statutory regulations and safety procedures.
* Undertake electrical repairs and installations as appropriate.
* Report defects at time of service visit.
* Carry out specified works.
* Manage vehicle and stock control of materials.
* Complete all documentation accurately and on time.
* Comply with policies and procedures.
* Work safely and diligently.
* Attend training and appraisal activities as required.
* Perform additional duties as required.
* Follow Group and company policies and procedures at all times.
* Report deficiencies in systems or equipment that could compromise service delivery, health & safety or environment.
* Use equipment and PPE correctly and as trained.
* Report issues or training needs to line manager or incident system.
About You
* City and Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 qualification or equivalent.
* IEE 18th Edition Regulations knowledge.
* Experience in electrical fire life safety works within the services sector.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety and safe working practices.
* Strong customer care focus.
* Proactive with ability to anticipate faults.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Able to work at heights up to 3 metres and lift up to 25 kg.
* Ability to meet deadlines.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Customer focused with good organisational skills.
