IT Administrator
My client is one of Scotland’s leading independent firms who offer a complete range of legal services to businesses, individuals & families, the public sector and the modern rural economy in Scotland, the UK and beyond.
They are now seeking an IT Administrator to join their team based in Glasgow to provide professional, efficient, and friendly IT support to all colleagues across the firm. You will be the first point of contact within the IT department focusing on end user computing, handling all tickets that come into the Service Desk on a rota basis, covering remote support, desk-side assistance, preventative maintenance, and project assistance when required.
Position Overview
1. Providing quality first line support to all incoming enquiries
2. Taking ownership of all tickets, ensuring accuracy, communication, and resolution are all handled in a timely manner
3. Supporting audio/video systems when required
4. Occasional travel to other offices around Scotland
5. Managing and prioritising workload, identifying and raising potential issues
6. Ability to work independently and within a team, under appropriate supervision
7. Managing access control, onboarding, offboarding, and access to IT systems
8. Asset management of endpoints including laptops, mobiles, and portable storage
9. Contributing to the team's knowledge management
Position Requirements
1. 1 or 2 years of experience or completion of a relevant apprenticeship
2. Clear understanding of information security
3. Excellent communication skills and flexibility
4. Knowledge of VPN solutions
5. MFA & iBoss knowledge is desirable
6. Driving license
7. Experience with IOS and Mitel Phone Systems
8. Previous experience within a law firm is desirable
Position Remuneration
* Monday to Friday, 8 am – 6 pm (1-hour lunch break)
