We are seeking an ambitious and commercially minded Finance Manager to join a fast-paced and growing business on a 12-month fixed term contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional who is looking for more than a traditional accounting role. We are looking for someone who combines strong technical expertise with commercial curiosity, strategic thinking and the confidence to contribute to wider business discussions and decision-making.
Working closely with exec level, you will play a key role in supporting business performance, driving financial insight and ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely reporting across the group.
Key Responsibilities
* Ownership of the monthly management accounts process, ensuring accurate preparation, review and submission in line with reporting deadlines
* Preparation of group consolidations, including IFRS adjustments and journals
* Production of monthly board reporting packs with detailed analysis and commentary
* Review of monthly payroll across multiple entities
* Oversight and approval of supplier payment runs and banking transactions within authorised limits
* Line management, mentoring and development of Assistant Accountants
* Acting as a key contact for statutory audits, tax reviews and external advisors
* Preparation and support of cash flow reporting and forecasting
* Assisting with annual budgets and rolling forecasts, including Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and Capex schedules
* Supporting wider compliance activities including VAT and overseas tax matters
* Building strong relationships across operational and commercial teams to support business performance
* Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and driving positive change across finance processes and controls
About You
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA,CA,CIMA)
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of key business drivers
* Previous experience within a similar commercially focused finance role
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
* A proactive, self-motivated and adaptable approach
* The ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance stakeholders
* Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills
* A collaborative mindset and the confidence to operate in a dynamic and evolving environment
