Main duties of the job

Non-Executive Directors have a key role in providing leadership inside the Trust and to be an external ambassador for the Trust. They make an important contribution to the effective running of the Trust through helping to develop strategy, providing effective oversight of the agreed Trust plan, and scrutinising performance. In carrying out that role it is important that Non-Executive Directors promote the highest standards of corporate governance. Their role as members of the Board of Directors is to consider the key strategic and managerial issues facing the Trust in carrying out its statutory and other functions in accordance with the legal requirements and the Trust Constitution.
