This public sector organisation has a temporary position initially for 3 months. The Contract Support Officer reports to the Service Delivery Manager - Programme Planning in delivering savings and best practice across a range of contract activities, through optimisation of the procurement processes and procurement systems to deliver both cash and non-cash efficiencies. The post holder will assist in the development of the organisation's procurement capability by working closely with clients to ensure a professional procurement and contracts management approach and in the implementation and continual development of e-procurement tools. Experience within the construction industry or housing/public sector. Experience of tendering and contracting activity, including tender administration, tender evaluation, supplier negotiations and contract award. Experience of the implementation and operation of electronic procurement solutions, e.g. Flexible and proactive with a professional attitude and collaborative approach. This role offers a hybrid working policy with flexible start and finish times. This is a temporary position with the possibility of leading to something on a more permanent basis.
