Been There is a growing UK mental health charity providing free, confidential peer-to-peer support for adults through trained volunteer mentors with lived experience.
Our service connects people experiencing mental health challenges with someone who has “been there”, offering structured peer support that complements existing mental health services.
As our service continues to grow, we are expanding our Clinical Advisory Board (CAB) and are seeking 2–3 new members to join the board.
Our Clinical Advisory Board provides clinical assurance and professional insight to support the safe and effective delivery of our services, including guidance on safeguarding, training, supervision, and peer support practice.
Who are we looking for?
We are particularly interested in professionals with substantial experience working in mental health or community support settings, ideally with experience contributing to service development, safeguarding, training, or multidisciplinary working.
As our Clinical Advisory Board grows, we are keen to strengthen representation from professionals working directly with people in community and multidisciplinary mental health settings.
