Role Purpose
We are looking for a supportive and inclusive Engineering Manager to guide and grow a team of engineers. This role blends technical expertise with empathetic leadership helping individuals succeed while ensuring the team delivers meaningful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Coaching & Growth: Nurture the development of each engineer through regular 1:1s, encouragement and personalised career support.
* Technical Guidance: Provide approachable, thoughtful technical direction ensuring solutions are reliable, sustainable and collaborative.
* Prioritisation & Balance: Partner with product and business stakeholders to set clear priorities, balancing delivery with the team’s wellbeing and long‑term success.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Build trusted, transparent relationships with stakeholders ensuring the team’s voice is heard and represented.
* Culture & Inclusion: Create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment where all engineers feel empowered to contribute and thrive.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience leading and coaching software engineers with a focus on growth and wellbeing.
* Good understanding of modern software engineering practices (object‑oriented design, APIs, cloud services, DevOps) even if not hands‑on daily.
* Comfortable supporting teams working Azure and SQL Server and able to guide conversations and decisions without needing to be the deepest expert.
* Strong skills in communication, collaboration and stakeholder management.
