An exciting opportunity has arisen for a 9 months maternity leave cover for a Consultant Clinical Psychologist to join our innovative, adult mental health team which is integrated into Lancashire's Family Safeguarding Service.

Responsibilities
* Provide high level expertise, clinical leadership and clinical governance across the pan Lancashire Family Safeguarding service.
* Take clinical leadership responsibility in the co-ordination and implementation of psychological care and ensure the systematic provision of high quality psychological and psychologically informed interventions.
* Ensure the service philosophy is underpinned by a strengths-based, motivational interviewing approach, providing services compliant with NICE guidance and recognizing the importance of relational aspects of assessment and therapy.
* Develop, clinically lead and manage the service, provide line management and clinical supervision to the 8a and 8b Clinical Psychologists.
* Provide psychological assessment, consultation and intervention to parents/partners open to the Family Safeguarding Service; oversee the evaluation of the psychological therapy service; attend management, team and group supervision as needed.
* Engage in wider service development within the Family Safeguarding Service and deliver training to disseminate psychological skills and knowledge.
About the Service
The service is funded by Lancashire County Council to provide specialist assessment and treatment for parents of children open to the Family Safeguarding Service who have identified mental health difficulties impacting safeguarding. The integrated service is positioned at the primary care level, offering preventative early intervention. The aim is to provide families with the right mental health support, at the right time, to keep families together when it is safe to do so.
Team and Collaboration
You will join a team of Clinical Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists and MH Practitioners who work closely with Social Care colleagues including Social Workers, Domestic Abuse Practitioners, Substance Misuse Practitioners and Probation to provide high quality, safe and effective care for service users.
Organisation and Development
The role will involve leading and managing the service, providing line management and clinical supervision to the 8a and 8b Clinical Psychologists. The post-holder will contribute to management meetings, team meetings and group supervision, and participate in wider service development and delivery of training to disseminate psychological skills and knowledge.
