Position: RAIL ENGINEER
Salary: £30,000 - £52,000 per annum + benefits (Permanent)

The candidate should have a positive and practical approach to civil engineering challenges and will join our client as a Rail Engineer. The portfolio includes road and rail bridges, coastal defences, flood prevention schemes, marinas and large‑scale UK infrastructure projects.
The role requires independence and a willingness to take responsibility for work on projects, together with teamwork. Structured training and career progression are available for motivated individuals.
Responsibilities
* Prepare calculations and documentation for engineering projects.
* Liaise with other members of the design team to achieve a coordinated design.
* Undertake analysis and design using software packages including finite element analysis such as LUSAS or Midas.
* Develop design and co‑ordination skills to progress as an engineer.
* Undertake client relationship management.
* Input to fee proposals and bidding opportunities.
Qualifications
* Chartered or approaching Chartered status through ICE or IStructE.
* Relevant experience of civil and structural engineering problem‑solving and development of sound engineering solutions.
* Good report writing, communication and numerical skills.
* Flexible and enthusiastic approach to working within a team structure.
* Confidence and ability to take responsibility for work on projects, small and large.
