Proven experience implementing and maintaining quality management programmes, such as BRC standards. Strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills. Sound knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Transport Management Systems (TMS). Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting tools. Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and compliance requirements. Desirable Qualifications: NEBOSH or IOSH qualification. Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification. Forklift or warehouse safety certifications. Key duties & Responsibilities: As Site Operations Lead, you'll take ownership of the day-to-day performance of our warehouse and transport operation, ensuring goods move safely, efficiently, and on time. Oversee all inbound and outbound warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and European cross-dock operations. Ensure inventory audits are completed and warehouse management systems remain accurate and reconciled. Monitor warehouse productivity and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain warehouse layout and optimise space utilisation. Monitor fleet performance, vehicle utilisation, and driver compliance. Ensure compliance with transport legislation, driver hours regulations, and company policies. Lead, motivate, coach, and develop warehouse and transport teams. Manage workforce planning, shift allocation, and operational resources. Track and report on key performance indicators including delivery performance, warehouse accuracy, productivity, cost control, and customer service levels. Produce operational reports for senior management. Drive site standards and maintain compliance through the Safety Culture system. Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across all warehouse and transport operations. Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action reviews. Ensure compliance with ETSF operational requirements and customs regulations. Maintain compliance with explosive licence regulations where applicable, including safe storage, handling, transport, and documentation. Support internal and external audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented effectively.
