Job Description:

This is a fixed-term post of 12 months.
The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday (days).

Royal Hospital for Children are looking for a Clinical Nurse Educator to join our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit to provide generic and specialist education, support and direction to nurses and other healthcare workers within Paediatric Intensive Care. We are looking for someone to plan, deliver and evaluate educational pathways for critical care nursing to meet present and future service needs. The role will advise, support and provide direction to all trained nurse and health care workers on educational and clinical issues.
The post holder will be able to provide educational support and direction to nurses and health care support workers within the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit. They will assist in developing, facilitating, delivering and evaluating current and implement new educational programmes to meet the needs of the child and young person, their family and all nursing staff in their remit.
The successful candidate will develop, implement, deliver and evaluate the education programmes to meet specific needs of the child, family and nursing staff through competency based framework and will work in close collaboration with clinical personnel to promote, deliver and enhance high quality evidence based learning that will provide excellent standards of care.
It is essential you are a Registered Children’s Nurse with an NMC approved qualification and have substantial post registration experience.
