A great opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced commercial body/coach builder to join our team. As a company we specialise in both building and repairing commercial bodies, but we also offer a diverse range of services including: metal fabrication, general body repairs, accident damage and paintwork, vehicle electrics and so much more, offering a varied work environment where no two days are the same. We work with various materials, such as: steel, aluminium, plastic composites, wood and GRP products, utilising skills including: drilling, welding, grinding, folding and cutting of materials. Duties include: · Building, repairing and modifying commercial vehicle bodies. · Fabrication and welding. · Completing appropriate paperwork associated with job including time records. · Using various tools and machinery. · Preparing vehicles for painting. · Repairing minor dents, scratches, and other imperfections on vehicle surfaces. Skills Required: · Previous experience in body/coach building or commercial paint prep or a similar industry (construction or workshop based) is essential, with ideally a minimum of 3 years of experience. · Knowledge and experience in metal fabrication and welding, vehicle electrics, paint & repair, CNC plasma cutting and a forklift certificate would be a distinct advantage. · Good time keeping and ability to work to build time frames. · Awareness of and adherence to all housekeeping and Health and Safety Regulations. · The completion of paperwork associated with jobs and time records is essential. · Ability to work as a team or independently. · Ability to paint would be an advantage. · Knowledge of hydraulic systems would be an advantage, but not essential. · Verbal communication. · Numeracy skills. · Full UK driving licence. · HGV licence would be an advantage, but not essential. · Ability to work from technical drawings.
