Job Duties

The faculty member will be responsible for:
1. Teaching a range of Economics and data-focused courses, with the ability to support other
business disciplines as needed.
2. Conducting scholarly research in Economics with an emphasis on macroeconomics, applied
econometrics, machine learning, or artificial intelligence.
3. Providing service at the departmental, school, university, and community levels.
4. Supporting the school’s commitment to maintain AACSB International accreditation.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate in economics degree prior to hire.

Additional Considerations

1. Industry, policy, or applied research experience related to macroeconomics, econometrics,
machine learning, or artificial intelligence is a plus.
2. Experience applying data-driven methods or AI/ML techniques to real-world economic or
business problems is highly desirable.
3. Applicants who received their Ph.D. five years ago or earlier should have at least two refereed
journal articles and three other intellectual contributions in the most recent five years.
4. Excellent written and oral communications skills.
5. Excellent interpersonal skills, personal integrity, and a commitment to diversity.
