Priory Hospital North Londonis looking to recruit a Therapy Assistant to join the team.This is afull time 37.5 hoursrole.

Located in London, in a peaceful and secluded part of Southgate, Priory Hospital North London is set within a striking Grade I listed building, overlooking beautiful parklands.

It's one of the UK's leading centres for the treatment of a range of mental health difficulties, including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). We also offer private autism assessments for adults.


What you'll be doing


You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients

* Supports senior staff as part of the care and therapy planning process, assisting with tests, exercises and examinations as directed.
* Assists trained staff with the preparation, planning and delivery of group and one-toone occupational, therapeutic and recreational activities; observing, recording and reporting patient responses to the assigned clinician as appropriate. All clinical work to be observed or monitored.
* Assists with the reception, orientation and induction of new patients ensuring they are comfortable and familiar with the environment and to impart essential information regarding emergency procedures.
* Ensures the effective, timely and accurate updating of clinical records, case files and computerised information systems as directed while responding to routine enquiries and standard requests for information in accordance with policies and procedures.

What you'll bring to the role

The role requires the post holder to have GCSEs or O-Levels (grades A–C) or an equivalent NVQ Level 2 qualification. In addition, they should have previous experience working within a relevant healthcare environment.
