Manufacturing UAT & PAT Test Analyst
£25 per hour | 12‑Month Contract
Monday‑Friday | 9am-5pm
Minimum 3 Days On‑Site (Increasing to 5 During Deployments/Business Needs)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing UAT & PAT Test Analyst to support the deployment of cutting‑edge digital systems within a brand-new, specialist automotive facility. This role offers the chance to work closely with some of the most advanced and prestigious vehicle programmes in the industry, contributing directly to a major digital transformation journey.
The Opportunity
Working within a site‑based testing team and reporting to a Test Manager, the Test Analyst will take a key role in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Production Acceptance Testing (PAT) for system deliveries impacting manufacturing execution, quality, and reporting processes. This is a hands‑on, influential position requiring strong coordination, structured testing discipline, and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, many of whom may not be familiar with testing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
Testing & Governance
* Facilitating governance readiness sessions to confirm test‑phase entry criteria
* Creating and executing detailed manual UAT and PAT test scripts
* Capturing and evidencing test results using test management tools (HP ALM primarily, some Jira exposure)
* Recording, tracking, and driving defects through to resolution
* Producing or contributing to Test Completion Reports
Stakeholder Engagement
* Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and digital teams
* Representing the test function professionally in status updates and reviews
* Supporting cross‑site testing activity when required
Operational Support
* Ensuring all business requirements are tested, validated, and fully met
* Upholding governance, compliance, and quality throughout the testing lifecycle
Skills & Experience Required
* 5+ years' experience in a similar Test Analyst role with hands‑on UAT experience
* Manufacturing experience (desirable)
* Strong analytical skills (data flow testing, statistical interpretation)
* Proficient with HP ALM; Jira experience desirable
* Understanding of Waterfall and/or Agile delivery methodologies
* Strong communication and stakeholder‑management capabilities
* Confident user of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint)
* ISTQB or ISEB Foundation level qualification preferred
